Muhammad (PBUP) - Mercy to Mankind

“Do you know what is better than charity and fasting and prayer? It is keeping peace and good relations between people, as quarrels and bad feelings destroy mankind”, said Prophet Muhammad (PBUP). [Muslim & Bukhari]

Muhammad (PBUP), the last of all Prophets, was sent as a mercy to all mankind. He was known for his forgiveness, justice, courage, his trust in Allah, his gentleness, his generosity and his manners.

Ali Bin Abi Talib (Radiya Allah Anho) said: "I have never seen anyone before or after him who was comparable to him."
In remembrance of his birth, here are some of his quotes and teachings.

- “A Muslim who plants a tree or sows a field, from which man, birds and animals can eat, is committing an act of charity.” (Muslim)
- “What actions are most excellent? To gladden the heart of human beings, to feed the hungry, to help the afflicted, to lighten the sorrow of the sorrowful, and to remove the sufferings of the injured.” (Bukhari)

- “Allah will not give mercy to anyone, except those who give mercy to other creatures.” (Abdullah b. Amr: Abu Dawud & Tirmidhi)

- “When three persons are together, two of them must not whisper to each other, without letting the third hear; because it would hurt him.” (Bukhari & Muslim)
- “The perfect Muslim is not a perfect Muslim, who eats till he is full and leaves his neighbors hungry.” (Ibn Abbas: Baihaqi)
- “No man is a true believer unless he desires for his brother that, what he desires for himself.” (Abu Hamza Anas: Bukhari & Muslim)

Respect to women
- “I command you to treat women kindly…” (Bukhari)
- “The best of you are those who are best to the women.” (Tirmidhi)
- “Women are the twin halves of men.” (Tirmidhi)

Knowledge and Education
- “The seeking of knowledge is obligatory for every Muslim.” (Tirmidhi)
- “A father gives his child nothing better than a good education.” (Tirmidhi)

- Be not like the hypocrite who, when he talks, tells lies; when he gives a promise, he breaks it; and when he is trusted, he proves dishonest.” (Bukhari & Muslim)

- “Kindness is a mark of faith, and whoever is not kind has no faith.” (Muslim)

According to Michael Hart, Prophet Muhammad is the most influential human in History.
The German poet, Göethe, said: "I looked into history for a human paradigm and found it to be in Muhammad (pbuh)”
Mahatma Gandhi stated: “I became more than ever convinced that it was not the sword that won a place for Islam in those days in the scheme of life. It was the rigid simplicity, the utter self-effacement of the Prophet, the scrupulous regard for pledges, his intense devotion to his friends and followers, his intrepidity, his fearlessness, his absolute trust in God and in his own mission.”
"If greatness of purpose, smallness of means, and astonishing results are the three criteria of a human genius, who could dare compare any great man in history with Muhammad?”, wrote Alphonse de La Martine.

But if we stop for a second and contemplate what we have in place, we ask ourselves one question.
Do we really need all these people to remind us how great our prophet is? NO, we certainly don’t.

We already know that he is an inspiration to hundreds of millions and that he is the all time role model.
Therefore, we should all think about the constant betterment of ourselves and how to be led daily by his example.

It's the color of what extreme pain feels like
It's the color you hear when reality strikes

It's the color you smell when death is near
It's the color you taste when hope disappears

It's the color in your heart when the wrong person resides in it
It's the color of your smile when you're forcing it

It's the color of your trust when you're stabbed in the back
It's the color of your confidence when she has something you lack.
